The waitlist: fill cancelled times
Checked against the app on 24 October 2026
Clients who find no time that suits them on your booking page can join your waitlist. When an online booking is cancelled or declined, the people waiting are emailed that a time has opened, and the first to book it gets it. You can also offer a time to someone by hand.
Where: Calendar > Connections > Online booking > Waitlist
How clients join
There is nothing to turn on: it comes with online booking. Once a client has chosen a service, the page offers None of these times suit you? Join the waitlist. They leave a name, an email, an optional phone and, if they like, the days and times that suit them. They get a confirmation by email with a link to take themselves off.
When a time opens
- When a client cancels or moves an online booking, or you decline or cancel one, up to five people waiting for that service (or for any service) are emailed A time just opened, with a link to your page on that service.
- The first to book gets the time; it is booked like any other, under your usual rules. Nobody is emailed twice in an hour, or more than three times in all.
- A place is kept 90 days, one per email address. Joining again replaces the earlier place.
See the list and offer a time yourself
Step 1: Open Calendar > Connections > Online booking. Waitlist shows everyone waiting, oldest first, with the service and their note. It appears only when someone is waiting, and updates every few minutes while Olive Grove is open.
Step 2: Free a time in your calendar first (a cancellation by phone, a new opening), so it shows on your page.
Step 3: Choose the person and press Offer a time. They are emailed that a time has opened, with the link to book it.
Step 4: Press Remove to take someone off, for example once you have booked them by phone.
