Getting started

Get access, install, activate and record your first session.

    • How to get Olive Grove

Olive Grove is by invitation for now. Join the waiting list on the home page; when a place opens you are emailed, and you sign in to your account to download the app.

    • System requirements

Olive Grove runs on Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. It works on any recent computer; more memory gives a stronger notes model, and a graphics card makes notes and transcripts faster.

    • Install Olive Grove on Windows

Download the installer from your account, run it, accept the terms, and let Set up this computer download the speech and notes models. After that, the app works offline.

    • Activate your subscription on a computer

In the app, open Settings > Privacy and security > Licence and choose Activate. Approve the eight-letter code on the page that opens, signed in to your account. Each subscription covers two computers.

    • Set up your practice in the first week

The Setup assistant tracks five essentials: the notes model, your microphone, your name and practice, sign-in and automatic backups. This checklist adds the rest, in the order most clinicians need it.

    • Your first session, step by step

Choose the client on Record, check the microphone, press Start session, and press End session when you finish. The accurate transcript and a draft note follow in the background, for you to read, correct and sign.

    • Find your way around the app

Eight places down the left, each with a shortcut; a New button on every page; and Go to anything (Ctrl+G) to reach any client, page or setting by typing a few letters.

    • Oliver and Resources

Oliver is at the foot of the left menu. Click him, or press Ctrl+J, and his panel slides out with what is waiting for you and a box to ask him. Resources, in the left menu, gathers your account, help, guides and support.
