Troubleshooting

Microphone, slow notes, updates, activation, missing emails and logs.

    • The microphone or call audio is not heard

Check the microphone chip on Record, let the microphone check show a level, and for an online session keep “Also capture system audio” on with the call playing through the Windows default output. A stopped stream needs the session ended and started again.

    • The AI is not ready

Olive Grove’s AI runs on your own computer. If it is not answering, click the AI status at the top of the window: it opens the Notes AI card in Settings, with the one button that gets it running.

    • Notes are slow, or the computer is busy

Notes are written on your own computer, so their speed depends on it. Check the machine indicator in the footer, use the graphics card if you have one, measure the notes model in the Model library, and close heavy programs while a note is written.

    • Updates: check, install and choose when

Olive Grove checks for a new version a minute after it opens and every few hours while it is open, never during a recording. You choose what happens then. The footer always shows your version, and each update is checked before it runs.

    • Activation and licence problems

Most activation problems are an expired code, a different account, or two computers already in use. The activation page says which, and lets you free a seat on the spot. The footer and Settings > Licence always show how long the licence lasts.

    • An email did not arrive

Wait a minute, then look in spam, junk or promotions, and check the address for typing errors. Some emails are not sent by Olive Grove at all: invoices and the reminders you send yourself open in your own email program.

    • A session was interrupted or left running

The transcript and quick note are saved every 20 seconds. If the computer slept, crashed or lost power, the session is offered for recovery at the next start and written up then. A session left running ends itself after a quiet spell unless you keep recording.

    • Report a problem and send logs

Use Help > Report a problem in the app. Describe what went wrong; the app adds the version, Windows and the end of the technical log, takes out client names, email addresses and numbers, and shows you exactly what will be sent.
