What’s new in Olive Grove

Each version of the app, newest first. Olive Grove tells you when a new version is out and installs it over the old one; your records stay where they are.

    1. Version 1.0.50 ·

      One Oliver

      • One Oliver, at the foot of the menu: the panel on the right is gone, so every page has the full width. Click Oliver or press Ctrl+J and his panel slides out with what is waiting for you and Ask Oliver. See Oliver and Resources.
      • One list of what is waiting: Today and Oliver show the same things in the same words, and the number beside Oliver is the number on Today.
    2. Version 1.0.49 ·

Your records stay here, and new terms

      • Copy prompt is gone: Olive Grove’s own AI does this on your computer, so client details are never pasted elsewhere. If the AI is not ready, the app says how to get it running. See The AI is not ready.
      • Updated terms of use: Olive Grove is licensed, not sold, and may not be copied, reverse engineered or used to build a competing product. The update window says so before Update now, and the app asks you to accept them. See the terms.
      • Oliver’s panel needs room: it sits beside the pages on windows 1560 px wide or more; on narrower windows Oliver waits in the corner with a count, so no page is squeezed.
    3. Version 1.0.48 ·

      Ask Oliver, and easier reading

      • Ask Oliver at the foot of the menu: Oliver, marked AI assistant, says in one line what he is doing, and a click or Ctrl+J opens Consult. See Oliver and Resources.
      • Easier to read: reading text is never under 14 px, letters are drawn sharper, and Calendar dates are written out, such as “Wed 6 November”.
      • Your space, your way: hide Oliver’s panel and he waits in the corner, as you left him; fold Live transcript or In-Session Assist to give the other more room.
      • New terms are said up front: when an update brings new terms of use, the update window says so before you press Update now.
    4. Version 1.0.47 ·

      Talk with Oliver

      • Talk with Oliver: ask out loud and he answers aloud, with the same sources and actions as Consult, done only on your yes. No audio is kept, and never during a session. See Talk with Oliver.
      • Who said this line? Right-click a transcript line to give it to the right person, or to separate a voice that is two people. The earlier transcript is kept, and signed notes never change.
      • Therapist and Client put right while you work: if the live labels start the wrong way round, what each person says sets them right from about two minutes in.
    5. Version 1.0.46 ·

      Olive Grove, the new look

      • A calmer look, everywhere: ivory and deep olive in the light themes, olive night and gold in the dark one, and a clear gold ring around whatever the keyboard is on.
      • Oliver is always beside you: what is waiting for you, as suggestions with Open and Not now. See Oliver and Resources.
      • Privacy view: if a client can see the screen, Ctrl+H shows only the time while recording carries on. See Privacy view.
      • Sessions in the dark theme, with a steady recording light that is never red; Today names clients by their initials.
      • Send consent online from the client’s file: the client signs on a secure page with no account. Drafts use each client’s pronouns, or their name.
    6. Version 1.0.42 ·

      Reflective practice and supervisor co-signature

      • Reflective practice and Prepare for supervision: your reviews, debriefs and questions for supervision in one place, and an agenda drafted on your computer with client names replaced. A reflective aid, not supervision. See Reflective practice and preparing for supervision.
      • Consult speaks as a colleague. Its conversations are now called private reflective notes, and no part of the app presents the AI as a supervisor.
      • Supervisor co-signature, if you choose: signed notes wait until your supervisor co-signs with their own PIN or password, or returns them with comments. See Supervisor co-signature.
    7. Version 1.0.41 ·

Messages, fees, your own formats and a full export

    8. Version 1.0.40 ·

Clients book, fill in forms and pay online

      • Online booking. Clients book on your own page, inside your working hours, with a confirmation, reminders and a link to change or cancel. See Set up online booking.
      • A waitlist on your booking page: when an online booking is cancelled, the people waiting are emailed that a time has opened. See The waitlist.
      • Automatic reminders for appointments booked in the app or synced from your calendar, the day before, 2 hours before, or both. See Appointment reminders to clients.
      • Client forms. Intake questions, your consent form signed online, and the PHQ-9 or GAD-7, filled in before the first session and filed in the client’s record. See Forms clients fill in before the first session.
      • Online payments. Clients pay your invoices by card, all or part of what is due, straight into your own Stripe account, and each payment is recorded on its invoice by itself. See Let clients pay invoices online.
      • Import clients or appointments from another system as a spreadsheet (CSV), with a preview of every row. See Move from another system.
      • Refunds and client credit on invoices, and money received shown net of refunds. See Correct an invoice.
      • Billing for any country: fees that include tax, up to two taxes by name and rate, and any currency. See Taxes, currency and insurance details.
      • Notes, letters and reports on your paper size, A4 or Letter.
    9. Version 1.0.39 ·

Therapy Assist is now Olive Grove

      • A new name and a new look, with an olive tree as the icon. Consult, the AI helper, carries a clear AI mark, so you always know when you are working with the AI.
      • Nothing else changes. Your clients, notes, recordings, settings, licence and backups stay where they were, and your shortcuts are renamed.
    10. Version 1.0.38 ·

      Cloud backup

      • An encrypted copy of your practice, kept online, sealed on your computer with a recovery code only you hold. Recordings are included only if you tick them; the newest 10 backups are kept. See Cloud backup.
    11. Version 1.0.37 ·

      Updates you see straight away

      • A new version shows up within a minute of opening the app, and every few hours while it stays open, never during a session.
      • You choose what happens: show it to me, install it when I close the app, or only mark it in the footer. See Updates.
    12. Version 1.0.36 ·

      Password-protected PDFs

      • Send a report with a password on it. When you export a report, a note or a session, choose “Password-protected PDF”. Send the password another way; it is not saved anywhere.
    13. Version 1.0.35 ·

      A sturdier licence check

      • The licence check now ships as machine code, so it can no longer be read or edited in the installed program. Nothing changes in how the app works, and nothing new is sent.
    14. Version 1.0.34 ·

      Four themes, shorter live cues

      • Four themes: Light, Warm, Dark and High Contrast, every text colour readable at WCAG AA.
      • Shorter live cues: at most 8 words a cue, so they are quicker to glance at.
      • Your Useful and Not useful marks, added up, in Growth > Insights.
    15. Version 1.0.33 ·

The care record, working hours, Voices and Dictate

      • A care record in each client’s file: consent, referrals, information shared, incidents and the end of care, each dated. See The consent form and the care record.
      • Working hours, breaks and repeating bookings on the calendar. See Book and manage appointments.
      • Voices above the live transcript, and Dictate when you add a session from your notes.
      • Keep-until dates and a practice continuity plan. See Keep, clean up and delete records.
      • Year receipts, Open all reminders, Report a problem and the practice file to try everything on a made-up client.
    16. Version 1.0.31 ·

Cues that know where the session is

      • The live card follows the phase of the approach the client is in, so cues fit where the conversation is.
      • A disclosure always gets a Safety check, quoting the client’s words, without depending on the AI to remember.
      • Joint sessions: each cue says which partner it is for.
    17. Version 1.0.29 ·

      Cues instead of scripts

      • The card gives the move, not the words: Explore, Reflect, Notice, Validate or Try, with a few words of the client’s own material. Say it shows one way to put it.
      • Useful or not, one tap: the cards learn what you find worth a glance.
      • Approach fidelity in the clinical review: how closely the session followed its approach.
    18. Version 1.0.28 ·

      Meetings in the left menu

    19. Version 1.0.26 ·

      Meetings

      • Supervision, consultations and practice meetings, recorded or written up from a file or your notes, with a dated entry in each client discussed.
    20. Version 1.0.25 ·

      From a day of sessions

      • Live transcript and live suggestions, each with its own switch.
      • Who is speaking is asked without getting in the way, and an individual session no longer shows a “Client 2”.
      • How long the subscription lasts, always in view in the footer.
    21. Version 1.0.24 ·

Who is speaking, and consent your way

      • Voice signatures tell people apart, learn your voice by themselves and put names on the live transcript. See Who is speaking.
      • A client consent form, and consent that is yours to record: nothing is switched off without it.
      • Crisis lines for where you are, from a verified list, and time zones named one way everywhere.

How updates arrive, and how to choose when they install: Updates.
