Sessions and recording
Record in person or online, live cues, languages, video and meetings.
Record a session
Choose the client, who is in the room and the note format on Record, then Start session. Pause whenever recording should stop; End session starts the accurate transcript and the draft note.
Record online sessions and video
For a session on Zoom, Teams or any call, keep “Also capture system audio” on: your microphone records you and the computer’s sound records the other side. Video of a screen area or a webcam can be added.
Session languages and translation
Olive Grove transcribes about 100 languages. Choose the language spoken, Auto-detect, or a “→ English” option that translates as it transcribes. Notes can be written in a language of your choice.
Live cues with In-Session Assist
Beside the live transcript, In-Session Assist offers two or three short cues (Explore, Reflect, Notice, Validate or Try) drawn from the client’s formulation and your approach. Glance, use what helps, ignore the rest.
Add a session you did not record
For a session you did not record, add it from your own notes (typed or dictated), import an audio or video file made elsewhere, or bring in past notes from before Olive Grove. A no-show is logged as a missed appointment.
Hold video sessions in your video room
Set up one permanent link for your clients’ video sessions. Clients wait in a private waiting room; you see who is asking, let them in, and choose whether to record. The video goes directly between the two devices, encrypted.
Reflective practice and preparing for supervision
Reflective practice gathers your latest session reviews and their growth themes, recent Consult debriefs, what to work on next and your questions for supervision. Prepare for supervision drafts an agenda on this computer, with client names replaced. It is a reflective aid: it is not clinical supervision and does not replace your supervisor.
Record supervision and meetings
Record a supervision, consultation or practice meeting, or write one up from a recording or your notes. Every detail is kept, organised. A supervision files a dated entry in each client you add, about that client only.
Privacy view: hide the screen
If a client can see your screen, press Ctrl+H (or Privacy view during a session). The window shows only the time, a still tree and how to return. Recording carries on.
Talk with Oliver
Talk with Oliver: ask out loud and he answers aloud, with the same sources and actions as Consult. For you, the clinician, never during a session, and no audio is kept.
